CWP Research and Engagement

Across the globe, faith in democratic institutions is eroding, polarized communities are drifting further apart, and rapid digital transformation is reshaping society faster than regulations can keep pace.

Columbia World Projects’ Research and Engagement team mobilizes diverse networks of experts from Columbia and around the world to confront these challenges with a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. These networks create bridges between the university and the worlds of practice and policy, fostering the exchange of ideas around key issues, amplifying the impact of related work, and developing pathways to policy uptake and thoughtful implementation.

The Research and Engagement team currently works on two topics of global consequence: the renewal of fraying democratic systems and opportunities to advance urban inclusion.
