Dr. Y.S. Alone is Professor in Visual Studies, School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University. His research interests include ancient Indian art, modern Indian art, Buddhist caves, neo-Buddhist visual culture, and Dr. Ambedkar's critical frame work. His publications include Early Western Indian Buddhist Caves: Forms and Patronage (Kaveri Books) (2014).
