Catching What's Shifting: Climate-Sensitive Infectious Disease

How is climate variability reshaping the detection, forecasting, and surveillance landscape of infectious diseases?
As climate patterns shift, so do infectious diseases. Changing vector ranges, emerging zoonotic threats, and evolving disease patterns are putting new pressure on health systems, particularly in vulnerable regions.
Hosted by Columbia Global Center Nairobi, Columbia Global Center Mumbai, Columbia Global Center Rio, and Climate-Sensitive Infectious Disease Network (CSIDNet), this webinar brings together perspectives from Nairobi, Mumbai, and Rio to examine how climate-sensitive infectious diseases are changing, how health systems can detect and respond to these shifts, and how vulnerability, diagnostics, treatment, research, and public communication shape preparedness and response.
