Reid Hall Residencies

Woman painting at a table.

Each year, Columbia Global Center Paris and the Institute for Ideas and Imagination welcome a small cohort of artists — each displaced from their home country due to extreme circumstances — to spend a year at Columbia in the heart of Montparnasse.

Immersed in the vibrant life of Reid Hall, displaced artists find the time and space for their work to flourish. From poets and performance artists to visual artists and journalists, residents make unexpected connections, find new inspiration, and reclaim their artistic voice.
