New Award from Columbia Global for Interdisciplinary Projects from Columbia Faculty and Researchers

Awards now available for interdisciplinary research into how AI is changing the world and what that means for society.
The Columbia Global Innovation Awards is a new funding opportunity for Columbia faculty and researchers whose groundbreaking work cuts across disciplines, builds partnerships and engages students. With a focus on research in New York City or in regions near a Columbia Global Center, this is an opportunity to use Columbia Global’s international resources and partners to drive collaborative innovations.
Three tiers of awards between $10,000 and $300,000 per project are available this year for research around the Innovation Awards' inaugural theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Society. As AI’s influence cuts across disciplines, from economics and public policy to the humanities and the arts, innovative research on this topic requires the breadth of scholarship: empirical and humanistic, theoretical and applied, local and global.
The Columbia Global Innovation Awards were created to support research that advances knowledge, develops new frameworks, and translates scholarship into programs or practice.
