Nairobi

At the heart of African innovation and creative production.

Nairobi

The Columbia Global Center Nairobi brings Columbia to Eastern and Southern Africa, creating a vibrant hub for collaboration, research, and impact.

Operating since 2011, the Nairobi Center is focused on serving as a regional engine for research, global curriculum, and high-impact partnerships with local governments, NGOs, universities, and private sector partners.

The Center is a place where scholars, students, scientists, and changemakers come together to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from sustainable development and public health to education and entrepreneurship.

Whether you are a Columbia student seeking to engage with a young and vibrant continent, a researcher digging into fieldwork, or a policymaker looking for data-driven insight, the Nairobi Center offers a launchpad for discovery deeply rooted in Sub-Saharan Africa and wide open to the world.
