Chile Community Participation and Planning Guides for Climate Action

A presentation of practical tools to support the design and implementation of local climate action plans in Chile.
Municipalities in Chile are required to create localized action plans to safeguard their communities from climate risks like floods and droughts, but local leaders often need support to turn policy into practice.
Join Columbia World Projects, Columbia Global Center Santiago, Columbia’s National Center for Disaster Preparedness, and local climate leaders as they present practical guides on the design and implementation of local climate action plans.
Developed through the project Strengthening Capacities and Civic Participation for Climate-Resilient Communities in Chile, experts will discuss how these resources can help other countries facing similar climate threats. (This event will by conducted in Spanish.)
